Khabane Lame is a 22-year-old TikTok star from Chivasso, Italy. Upon amassing a following of 153.2 million followers on the video-sharing platform, Lame has made major breakthroughs in what it means to be an influencer.

Unlike other influencers making their name, Khaby Lame is not known for his up-and-coming music or modeling career. He’s referred to by fans as an ordinary man who creates media for everyone — regardless of background, culture, or age. His comedic clips often feature himself reacting to, or duetting, absurd do-it-yourself tutorials and life hack videos. His iconic facial features have become his trademark, amassing a high quantity of followers.

This month, Khaby Lame has grown by 0.85% in followers, bringing him up to a staggering total of 153.2 million fans in his audience. Followed by the long-reigning Charli D’Amelio, Khaby currently holds a lead of just about 4 million followers -- sitting comfortably in the first-place seat on TikTok.

Though his clips are produced in Italy, Khaby’s followers are primarily American. About 15% of his audience is from the United States, followed by 7% from Brazil, and 5.5% from Mexico. These numbers are so divisive across the globe that Italy’s viewership is only at a meager 3.7%.  

Lame’s TikTok followers are mostly men, though not entirely. 56.5% of his audience identifies as male and 43.5% as female. They are mostly between the ages of 18 and 24, constituting 30% of the men and 26.75% of the women respectively. The majority of his audience is young, though there are a few outliers who make up his small group of 45 to 64-year-old followers.

Khaby’s views have taken a hit this past month. With such high numbers in July, tapping out at almost 50 million views per video, it’s not surprising that the creator was going to decline. This month, Khaby Lame averages out at about 25 million views, a 3.85% decline from last month.

This is the lowest his views have dipped in the recent past, the only comparable numbers being found in September with 26.4 million. While this may be a decline, it’s a temporary one that still generates staggering view counts. With such potential and room for growth, we can expect an upward trend in January onward.

The influencer’s likes are up 0.88% this month, creating an overall of 2.8 million average likes per short. The trend graph of this feature is almost entirely on the decline from July to November, only broken by a slight differential in the months of October and December. While 2.8 million may seem like a lot, it’s hardly matching the once-soaring 5.1 million in July. Similar to the view counts on Lame’s videos, the numbers appear to be trending upward.
